Art as a lifestyle
Art is in a way a therapeutic method of expression- it allows you to communicate feelings that would otherwise lack an outlet. For many individuals, art becomes a way of life- whether it be through cultural interactions or their own contributions. As such, digital art, which can be made with relative ease, has become increasingly popular within the past decade. Now, tablets, high resolution screens, and advanced photo editing programs allow for the proliferation of digital art.

Would you say that Internet has increased individuals access to art as a form of expression? Or has it made art more commonplace and therefore of lower quality?
I'm not so sure if art in any form could be considered "of lower quality". However, in context to the Internet, having the capability of accessing the work of other people has probably helped reinforce various styles of art across the board. Concerning digital art, the Internet has served basically as both a virtual billboard and a forum-based community. Because mastering the applications of digital art requires some degree of techsaviness, for many, initial problems stemming from learning software techniques will be adressed through Internet consultation. Also, because of the inherent nature of digital art being digital, works can easily be shared online with forum-based communities serving as makeshift galleries.
